Thought I’d put up some art from my archive. Focusing on Band Album art.I’ve put a brief description underneath each one.

I’ve had the attentionSEEKER Music Video of ‘R.e.’ on my iphone for a while now so I decided to make a quick cover for it in itunes…this was the result, God it makes me want to do more…I have a passion for this, maybe I can find another band to assist in the future…I certainly hope so. You can see the video further down the blog.

This was the last cover I did for the recording of ‘R.e.’, I took the same pop art approach from the earlier design (see below) but wanted to improve upon it. Based on a piece by Roy Lichtenstein, I drastically altered the image to reflect what you see above, going for a darker edge and a black and white asthetic but adding in the band’s signature Red colour once again. This was also the first cover to highlight the new logo font. I think they go together very well.

This is when I first started to use Roy Lichtenstein art for inspiration, these images pop and that’s a good thing when you want lot’s of people to take home a CD. I altered the original to suit my needs using colour only for certain highlights. My other inspiration for this cover was from a lady at a gig in Camden at ‘the Enterprise’ many moons ago, I’ll never forget that look she had when the band were performing, I’ve tried to capture that essence.

Different band, different theme. The DD Coy’s, another local band who I have been to see on many occasions gave me the idea to mock up an album or single cover to the song ‘Everything is Not Black’. Listen to their music on myspace and tell me this cover doesn’t suit the kooky melodies the guys produce.

The creation of the attentionSEEKER logo Ver1 in May 2007. I think you can all guess where I got my inspiration for this video…and Yes…I am that much of a geek!…Embrace your inner nerd scumbags!!

Still can’t believe this was 2 years ago, but hey time flies and all that…Sadly the website is no longer running so I will keep the archive going on here for the time being.

This makes me want to use a wiimote as a whip…
